Indiana third baseman Mike O'Halloran had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Valley View Cougars, 3-2. Indiana reliever Ki-nam Yi was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Sean Boyd took the loss for Valley View. Indiana is now 14-17, while Valley View is 16-15.

O'Halloran had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 cutter from Sean Boyd, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Lead Sox a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for O'Halloran.

"I felt good up there," said O'Halloran. "I saw the ball well."
