Ducks Pin 7-4 Loss on Cougars

The Long Island Ducks defeated the Valley View Cougars, 7-4, at Ducks Park. Long Island left fielder Alexandre Prost was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Rubén López, who threw 94 pitches over 5.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 4 hits. With the victory, the Ducks record now stands at 13-12.
Prost had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Ducks went on to win.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Prost told the Long Island Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
