Valley View Cougars starter Karl MacElligot was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Crowley Cajuns, 2-1. Valley View reliever Esteban Sánchez picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Héctor Sanz was collared with the loss. The misery continues for the Cajuns, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
Valley View took a 2-1 lead on Luis Ortíz's 12th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Ortíz hit in the bottom of the tenth, left Crowley pitcher Héctor Sanz shaking his head.
