Super Swinger -- Cornu Slams 5 Hits
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC stopped the Las Vegas Flamingos by a score of 7-6 at Great Northern Field today, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Sébastien Cornu. The 26-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Cornu said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Cornu did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Flamingos.

"Not much that I can say," offered Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Sébastien Cornu struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.

Cornu's current batting average stands at .270 and he has chalked up 2 home runs and 14 RBIs.
