Flamingos Roll to 9-3 Win Over Northern Lions BC
Las Vegas starter Kagetoki Matsubara pitched effectively against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field. The right-hander led his team to a 9-3 win. Losses have been few and far between for the Northern Lions BC so far this season. Their record drops to 13-7.

Las Vegas used the bat of Xavier Hernández to get the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Matsubara said.
