Octopi Come Back Late to Top Cougars
The Ogallala Octopi beat the Valley View Cougars, 7-4, at Hillandale Grounds. Ogallala first baseman Royce Foster earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Cristián Padilla picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Karl MacElligot was tagged with the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Cougars, who are now 3-1.

Foster had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count curveball from Karl MacElligot, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Octopi a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Foster.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Foster.
