Victory Pushes Vibes Record to 43-40
|
Rocky Mountain Vibes starter Joop Els was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the York Revolution, 4-2. Els, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Koswara Setiadji got the save, his 5th in 5 chances.
Rocky Mountain used the timely hitting of Mariano Juderías to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Vibes on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like what I saw today," said Rocky Mountain manager Willie Mitchell, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The 4th-place Vibes have won 5 straight.
