Gold Sox Jolt Guzzlers with Late Rally

Chicago Gold Sox starter Jubal Ropp was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Galesburg Guzzlers, 4-3. Chicago reliever Kipchoge Lacchelo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Aarnoud Luyks absorbed the loss. Joel Plowden closed the game out for Chicago, earning his 6th save.
The result might have been different for Chicago, had it not been for Nathaniel Gordon, the 19-year old catcher . Gordon stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Chicago up, 4-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Jubal is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Chicago manager Curtis Lee.
The losing skid has reached 6 games for Galesburg.
