The Walla Walla Walleye went down to defeat to Rainer Polonius and his York teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Revolution. The Revolution bumped their record to 37-37 with this latest triumph.
Had Jamy Geertsen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Geertsen hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Revolution.
"I liked his command," said York manager José Reyes. "Rainer was throwing strikes."
