Mike Donovan pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The York Revolution, despite Donovan's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Chicago Tula at Ramblers Ballpark. Chicago reliever Riccardo Muijlwijk picked up the win to move to 1-0. Mike Donovan suffered the loss. Garrett Austin, credited with the save, is now 11 for 14 in save opportunities.
Xiao-yong Huang, who is tied for 6th in the PA in RBI with 33, helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
Huang attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Revolution, now 35-36, have lost 4 in a row.
