Revolution Fall to .500 After Loss to Tula
|
The Chicago Tula got a magnificent performance from pitcher William Burkett, who muffled the York offense en route to a tight 3-1 Tula win at Ramblers Ballpark. In 7.1 innings, Burkett surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Garrett Austin, credited with the save, is now 10 for 13 in save opportunities.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Garrett Austin didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and York trailing 3-1, Austin retired Reggie Gommers to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Austin, with a wink.
Chicago is now riding a 3-game win streak.
