Las Vegas and Hollywood got after it at The Hollywood Bowl.
Las Vegas right-hander Enrique Valle made an effective start against the Hollywood Shredders at The Hollywood Bowl, leading his team to a 6-2 win. Las Vegas is now 11-5.
The result might have been different for Las Vegas, had it not been for Xavier Hernández. The second baseman produced a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 3-1. For the game, Hernández had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
In comments to the Las Vegas Today, Hernández admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
