Tula Win 6-5 Walk-Off
|
The Chicago Tula topped the Myrtle Beach Seahawks by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Gustavo Zamora. Zamora was 4-6 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Tula. Chicago reliever Mario Quintero was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Prosper Azagba. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Tula.
Chicago took a 6-5 lead on Eddie Hickford's 35th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Hickford hit in the bottom of the 15th, left Myrtle Beach pitcher Masaki Ito visibly frustrated.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Hickford said.
