Victory Pushes Seahawks Record to 40-13
|
Myrtle Beach beat Delaware on the strength of starter Modeste Azagba's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Myrtle Beach reliever Masaki Ito picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Gaberiela Tatafu absorbed the loss. Myrtle Beach has now won 7 in a row.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Jorge Agramunt hit a triple. The Seahawks went on to win.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Myrtle Beach manager Kyle Holman.
