Félix Aiza was superb against Walla Walla. The right-hander, who leads the PA with a 13.1 K/9 rate, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-1 Airmen victory. Aiza, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 4 walks. Charlie Hilder locked down his 3rd save.

The Airmen got a big at-bat from catcher Johnny Jones. For the game, Jones was 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Alameda a 2-1 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Aiza said.

The second-place Airmen are now 28-19, the Walleye 21-26.
