Lee Dazzles in Chicago Win
|
Chicago Gold Sox starter Mike Lee pitched a strong game against the Alameda Airmen at Alameda Field, leading the Gold Sox to a 2-0 win. The save went to Héctor Cantú, his 7th this season. Chicago is in 9th place in the Premier A with a record of 19-24.
The Gold Sox liked what they saw from Lee. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Airmen to no earned runs on 2 hits over 8.1 innings, and striking out 4.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Lee.
