Tula Get Close Win Over Walleye
|
The Chicago Tula topped the Walla Walla Walleye, 4-2, in USPL Single A action at Walleye Tank. The player of the game was Chicago pitcher and Los Angeles, California native Ken Fulton Jr.. Chicago reliever Kevin Moyer was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Pjotr de Moor. Ramiro Valdés, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Chicago used a timely hit from Kevin Hancock to get the win. The right fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tula on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Chicago manager Mike Evans.
After today's action, Chicago sits at 22-21, while Walla Walla falls to 19-24.
