Victory Over Shredders Takes Thunder Bay to 9-3
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC saddled the Hollywood Shredders with a loss at The Hollywood Bowl. The final score was 7-5. Joe Aller, named player of the game, was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Thunder Bay left fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Sakutaro Ohayashi picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 2-1. Thunder Bay, now 9-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Rusty Fox to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
