Blaze Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Walla Walla
The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at The Ballpark on the Beach, knocking off the Walla Walla Walleye, 6-3. Starting pitcher Sergio Tacuri, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Tacuri got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 8.1 innings. Tacuri allowed 3 earned runs. The Walleye fall to 7-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2038 season.

One of the key players for the Blaze was first baseman Byron Ballard, who drilled a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Ballard went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said South Beach manager Vicente Rodríguez.
