Revolution Get Close Win Over Tula
|
Chicago got a terrific performance from pitcher Dave Raspberry, but it wasn't enough to beat the York Revolution. York won the Ramblers Ballpark contest, 4-3. Raspberry was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs. The winner was York reliever Jesús García, now 2-0. The loser was Ramiro Valdés. Marcus Morgan closed it out for his 1st save.
One important at-bat came with a runner on 2nd in the top of the eighth inning. Facing Chicago hurler Ramiro Valdés, Reggie Gommers, who is tied for 4th in the PA in home runs with 3, hit a single. The Revolution went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gommers.
The Tula fall to 5-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2038.
