Airmen Walk It Off for 4th Win of Season
|
The York Revolution got a sterling performance from pitcher Mike Donovan, but the Airmen still prevailed, 7-6. Donovan was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. With the win, Alameda elevates its record to 4-3.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the 17th, Jesús Leoz had a chance to end it. York pitcher Willard Kanjuchi had other ideas. But with one out, Leoz drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Airmen had the win.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Harris Bailey.
