Walleye Raise Rally Flag, Beat Delaware, 2-0
|
The Walla Walla Walleye got a magnificent performance from pitcher John Lee, who muffled the Delaware offense en route to a tight 2-0 Walleye win at Walleye Tank. Haweeyo Nasteexo, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. With the loss, Delaware sinks to 3-4.
Walla Walla took a 2-0 lead on Ánibal Arroyo's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Delaware pitcher Gaberiela Tatafu in the bottom of the eighth.
"I liked his command," said Walla Walla manager Rafael Clemente. "John was throwing strikes."
