Biff Pocoroba never let the Arryns get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Storm to a 4-0 win. Syracuse is now 50-46, Lake Erie 62-34.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Brian Harmon to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Storm on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I thought we played a nice game," Pocoroba told the Syracuse Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
