The Dirty Reds grabbed a win, 5-4, at The Hollywood Bowl, overcoming a fine effort from Hollywood pitcher Esteban Rodríguez. Rodríguez went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. The Dirty Reds have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 8 games.

This game was not decided until Arvo Helminen came to bat in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, the San Mateo shortstop hit a sacrifice fly. The Dirty Reds took the lead, 5-4.
