Expos Come Back Late to Clip Vandals

Rafael Mastache helped his team muscle past the Eugene Vandals, 4-2. In the game, the Niagara Falls third baseman went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Niagara Falls reliever Curt Pless got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Zainal Bacareza was tagged with the loss. At 36-42, the Expos find themselves in 8th place in the Silver A.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Mastache delivered big-time for Niagara Falls, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Zainal Bacareza. The game-changing hit put the Expos on top, 4-2.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Mastache. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
