Hotspur U-21 Stun Generals, 4-3
|
Washington catcher José Robles had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Robles went 3-3 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI, even as Phoenix beat the Generals, 4-3. Robles was named the player of the game despite the loss. Lúcio Salas earned the save for Phoenix, his 10th of the year. The Hotspur U-21 now have a record of 24-21.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Keith Lynn hit a sacrifice fly. The Hotspur U-21 took the lead, 4-3.
"Both teams played hard," said Phoenix manager William Smith.
