Victory Pushes Chiefs Record to 23-15
|
The Caldwell Chiefs got a strong performance from pitcher Reginald Woodger, who stymied the Washington offense en route to a 6-2 win at Pipers Ballpark. The win was credited to Cristián Reyes in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Pascal Durand took the loss. Caldwell is 23-15 and Washington, with the loss, 21-17.
Elias den Blick contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that propelled Caldwell to the win.
Woodger called the triumph "a good team win."
