Victory Pushes Generals Record to 20-14

It was a fun time at Washington Park, where the Laredo Hawks and Washington Generals tangled.
Washington Generals starter Kent Martin was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Laredo Hawks, 3-1. Martin, the winner, moves to 4-0. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.
Hiroshige Ohashi, the Washington third baseman, contributed a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Generals. For the game, Ohashi was 1-4 with a double.
Martin attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
