Generals Get Close Win Over Vandals
Washington left fielder Mark Boyle was instrumental in his team's 4-2 win over the Eugene Vandals. Boyle went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Generals. Getting the save was Van Hileman, his 3rd. Eugene's current losing streak is now 8 games.

The most important at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Marcos Velásquez threw a 2-1 fastball to Boyle, which he hit to left-center for a 2-run triple. It put Washington in front, 4-2.
