Victory Pushes Storm Record to 10-8
|
The Syracuse Storm got a magnificent effort from pitcher Chun-yeong Byung-Ho, who kept Washington hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Storm win at Washington Park. Byung-Ho picked up the win for Syracuse, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. The Generals fall to 8-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2038.
The Generals had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Storm going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Martín Muñóz came to the plate. Muñóz hit a run-scoring single on a 1-1 curveball from Washington hurler Álex Ortíz. It was Muñóz's 5th hit of the year.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Byung-Ho said.
