Chiefs Win 4-3 Walk-Off
The first-place Caldwell Chiefs welcomed Niagara Falls to Pipers Ballpark.

Caldwell Chiefs starter Ena Tuuta pitched a strong game against the Niagara Falls Expos at Pipers Ballpark, leading the Chiefs to a 4-3 win. Caldwell reliever Vasile Alexandrescu picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Curt Pless was saddled with the loss.

Late in the game, center fielder Miguel Contreras had a big at-bat for Caldwell. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Curt Pless. The play gave the Chiefs a 4-3 lead.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Hugh Harris, the Caldwell skipper.

Caldwell, at 9-3, is off to a blistering start.
