Generals Fall Short, 2-1, at Eugene
|
Juan Sandoval pitched a gem to lead Eugene to a 2-1 victory over the Washington Generals. Colton Moonfall earned the save for Eugene, his 1st. The loss drops Washington to 2-1.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Vandals were trailing 1-0. Paul Stark delivered a two-out 2-run single for Eugene, catapulting his team into the lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Stark told a Eugene Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
