Victory Over Patriots Takes Northern Virginia to 74-34
|
Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Eddie Kop was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Boston Patriots, 4-1. Northern Virginia leads the Premier League by 8½ games.
One of the key players for the Rainbow Mermaids was catcher Tim Stinson, who drilled a double in the top of the third inning. For the game, Stinson went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Northern Virginia skipper David Lister. "I can't complain."
