The Mancelona Torch stymied the Kennesaw Jets, 4-1, at Jets Stadium. Izaak Gerkis, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Mancelona. Amadi Azagba, credited with the save, is now 8 for 9 in save opportunities. Even with the win, the Torch have a dismal 29-67 record.
Mancelona took the lead in the top of the seventh when Gerkis hit a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made the score 3-1, Mancelona.
