Both teams had their chances, but the Greenville 84s eventually prevailed at Evergreen Park.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Greenville 84s and the Portland Evergreens, Júlio Valenzuela was the difference-maker. The Greenville right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 1-0 win. Sima Babic, credited with the save, is now 19 for 25 in save opportunities.

Greenville used the bat of Jimbob Ghostkeeper to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the 84s ahead, 1-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Greenville manager John Bosma.

At 62-45, the 84s find themselves in third place in the Premier League.
