Super Swinger -- Calhoun Slams 5 Hits
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Tony Calhoun is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Chicago Silver Sox at Silver Sox Park today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old shortstop helped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids take the win, 17-3.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Silver Sox manager Brett Reichert. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Tony Calhoun singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.

In 103 games this season Calhoun is batting .255 with 100 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 45 runs and driven in 42.
