Jets Nip Reefers, 2-1
|
Kennesaw Jets starter Pacho Hernández was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Cape Coral Reefers, 2-1. Okura Yamasaki was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. Kennesaw is in second place in the Menard's A with a record of 35-26.
It could have been a different outcome for Kennesaw, had it not been for Andy Combs, the 22-year old shortstop . Combs contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Kennesaw up, 2-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Cape Coral manager Rickey Jones said following the tough loss.
