Caterpillars Squelch Torch Offense in Shutout Win

It was a fun time at The Cocoon, where the Mancelona Torch and Grand Forks Caterpillars tangled.
The Grand Forks Caterpillars topped the Mancelona Torch, 6-0, in M3L Single A action at The Cocoon. The player of the game was Grand Forks pitcher Franck Perrault. The current losing streak for Mancelona has reached 5 games.
The Torch had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Caterpillars going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old shortstop Eugene Bradley came to the plate. Bradley hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 curveball from Mancelona hurler George Kipcak. It was Bradley's 5th double of the year.
"This is a very good team," said Bradley. "We have the chance to do something special."
