Silver Sox Come Back Late, Nip Rainbow Mermaids

Chicago left-hander Stanford McCain made an effective start against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Silver Sox Park, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Shang-de Fu, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 0.2 innings. Chicago, now 48-55, holds 7th place in the Premier League.
Jonathan Gunner was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Silver Sox left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
