The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids picked up a win at Atlantica, knocking off the Greenville 84s, 6-3. Starting pitcher Ton Jobse was an essential part of his team's success. Jobse went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-5. Northern Virginia has an impressive 69-33 record.

Phil McCroskey, who is tied for 9th in the PL in triples with 5, aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a double.
