The Yakima Hops walked off with a big win today at Hops Park.

The Yakima Hops did just enough to sneak past the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-3, at Hops Park. Yakima pitcher Marcos Salinas earned player of the game honors. The Hops saw their win-loss record go to 20-30. At the same time, the Screaming Eagles fell to 34-16.

Sebastian Franke was the walk-off hero for Yakima. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hops second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Salinas said in his postgame press conference.
