The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Freddy Calcines. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Louisiana. The Dragoons won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Calcines was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Maverick McNealy earned his 10th save in 10 tries. Louisiana is 5th in the Menard's A with a record of 19-16.
Louisiana used the bat of Jerry Williams to get the win. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dragoons ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it did its damage.
"This was a good win," said Williams.
