The Mt. Vernon Bulls beat the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-3, at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon catcher Doug Page earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Lance Barber got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Mt. Vernon currently is in 10th place in the Menard's A at 14-20.
