Patriots Prevail, 2-1, Over Portland
|
The Boston Patriots got a magnificent performance from pitcher Elton Coalan, who stifled the Portland offense en route to a 2-1 Patriots win at Dunkin Donuts Park. Tae-ho Ch'oe notched his 3rd save in 5 chances. The second-place Evergreens have dropped 4 straight games.
The Patriots got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Macíel. For the game, Macíel was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Boston a 1-0 lead.
"We did just enough to win," Macíel said.
