River Rats Top Reefers Behind Flowers, 3-0
|
Columbia River Rats starter Gabriel Flowers turned in an exceptional performance against the Cape Coral Reefers at Columbia Stadium, resulting in a Columbia win, 3-0. Jeffery Johnston closed the door for Columbia, picking up his 4th save of the year. Columbia, at 15-15, sits in 8th place in the Menard's A.
Flowers tossed 102 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the River Rats. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Flowers told the Columbia Bulletin.
