Thunder Hawks Fall to .500 After Loss to Hops
The Yakima Hops topped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 7-5, with designated hitter Tom Taylor playing a big role. Taylor was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Hops in the win. Yakima reliever Aad Stuut picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-3. Lucas van Halteren was collared with the loss. The Hops now have a mark of 13-17.

Yakima used the bat of Tokaji Heida to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Hops ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Yakima manager Tomás Gonzáles.
