Thunder Hawks Get Road Win, 6-3
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks topped the Springfield Shooters, 6-3, in USPL Double A action at Springfield Stadium. The player of the game was Ft. Polk South pitcher Kyle Overhill. The Thunder Hawks bumped their record to 14-13 with this latest triumph.
Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Lucas Gallant to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I like winning," Gallant told the Ft. Polk South Today. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
