The Mancelona Torch got a magnificent performance from pitcher Larry Walsh, who stifled the Louisiana offense en route to a 1-0 Torch win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Walsh went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. Amadi Azagba picked up the save, his 2nd.
Mancelona relied on the hitting of Juan Barrón to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Torch on top, 1-0. For the game, Barrón had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
