Lapointe Leads Virginia to Win
|
Virginia Palladium Sox starter Van Lapointe turned in an exceptional performance against the Yakima Hops at Hops Park, resulting in a Virginia win, 3-2. Ismael Riddles closed the game out for Virginia, earning his 1st save. The Palladium Sox, with just their 4th win so far in 2038, have yet to catch fire.
Lapointe, a native of Canada, was dealing all game. He kept Yakima hitters off-balance, while giving the Palladium Sox 8 quality innings. Lapointe threw 96 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lapointe.
