Big Day by Todd Ignites Bulls Win
|
A 3-RBI performance from Philip Todd, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A in runs scored with 16, helped the Mt. Vernon Bulls beat the Cape Coral Reefers, 8-2. The win takes Mt. Vernon to 7-12.
Todd put Mt. Vernon up, 8-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Ismael Pérez in the top of the seventh. His 3rd home run of the season helped the Bulls capture the win.
In postgame comments to the Mt. Vernon Times, Todd said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
